The first Volta Ferrofluid Headphones are on heads. Pairs from the first wave have been delivered in the US, UK and Europe, and most of the rest of that wave is out for delivery or with local carriers now.

App and software updates
The Volta iOS app is live. Use it to switch between the two ferrofluid modes, Rhythm and Fixed, tune your sound with the 10-band parametric EQ, and pick your LED colors.
Volta is a first-generation product from a small team, and we're treating launch as the start, not the finish. Our first software update is being prepared now and will install straight to your headphones through the app. Expect regular updates after that, and we'll announce every one on Instagram and in the Discord.
A few things to know:
- The ferrofluid rests below 20% battery to save power for your music. Charge up and it comes back to life
- Fluid on, the battery lasts around 6 hours. Fluid off, 100+ hours
- If you run into a glitch, post it in the bug report channel in the Volta Discord or email support@volta.audio. We'll work through it with you and fix it in an update
The rest of the orders ship this week
The factory is releasing the next units today, with the rest of the pre-orders following over the coming days. As each batch reaches our warehouse it gets packed and shipped, and you'll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order is on its way.
